metal bed base

Due to the room size, I am looking for a single slatted bed base that is the same size as the mattress i.e. divan bed size.
This one is ideal (Storra), but single no longer available.

I think I am googled out, but if anyone has any ideas, I would be most grateful.
Thanks,
Catnap

Does it have to be a slatted base? You can get divans on legs.
Original Bedstead Company do metal beds with sprung slats, will be same width as the mattress but a little longer.
I think Breasley do a take away divan base that you build youself, that has a slatted base.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
Hi I bought my OBC bed from Beds Direct and my friend bought hers from Beds on Legs (both are slatted). This was about 4 years ago. Both companies were great (service wise) and the beds are still as good as new.
I decided on the bed I wanted then trawled the internet looking for the best price. Initially I had ordered through the e-Directory portal (Bedstar) but had problems. Not sure whole fault Bedstar or E-Directory. I suspect e-Directory.
I think it is safe to say most metal bed have slats, interestingly yours does not have a headboard, maybe that is why it is difficult to find something similar.
HTH and good luck with the search.0 -
Thanks for the replies. The one pictured doesn't have headboard or foot end.
I bought the double bed size a few years ago because I already had a fairly new headboard that I really liked, and I sit on the end of the bed to do my hair in front of the dressing table.
I wanted to get the same in a single for redoing my daughter's room. She currently has a high sleeper with wardrobe underneath, but changing to a normal bed along the same wall only leaves space for a fairly narrow wardrobe, so was hoping to put one on the short wall.
Some of the sites I have looked at don't give the actual size of the frame and I don't want to take the risk of it not fitting in easily.
The last one I had just about fitted with headboard and foot end (before the high sleeper). It had a mesh base, and I had not realised that even with an expensive mattress it would not give enough support, hence wanting sprung slats this time and another few centimetres to play with.
Thanks again, I will keep looking.0
