I work for a large company delivering fuel
We are allocated work from the office and if there is an issue or our tank is off the road we are called and told we are on standby.We are paid for this.
Yesterday myself and the allocator were suspended . He had called me to advise I was on stand by the following day.This happened two fridays on the run.
Why have I been suspended over this .I was following instruction from the allocator that I was not required in work and was therefore on standby

Unless we work for the large company and know the details of your case, we can't know why you are suspended. The only people who can tell you are the people who suspended you. You will have to ask them.I work for a large company delivering fuel

As posted on your other thread, could it be that the Company believe that the allocator and you arranged it so that you would have 2 fridays off?
As mentioned I thought that the suspended employee had to be told what the charge was when being suspended.
But as littlevoice has said how do we know?2014 Target;

The company appears to have concerns about something in which you and the allocator may have been involved. For it to involve suspension, the company are obviously taking this seriously. The reason you are suspended is to allow an investigation to take place.
You should have been told the reason for the suspension at the time, and this should be followed up in writing. Although at this stage it might just be that certain serious matters have come to light concerning your conduct which require investigation. Suspension pending an investigation should be on full pay.
You are likely to be informed shortly that you are required to attend an investigatory meeting or a disciplinary meeting. You should be given full information before the disciplinary meeting takes place. Alternatively they may find that the investigation reveals that their concerns are unfounded and they will close their file.
One other thing - how long have you been employed by this company?
Edit: Just read on your other thread that you have been with the company 16 years and that you are suspended on full pay.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0
