Repaying Welcome Finance Loan Advice Please
My first post on the boards, so be gentle please !
I took a loan out with Welcome finance a number of years ago which i never finished paying off and subsequently have had a debt with them for a while. Although i have not heard from Welcome for years.
I am now in a position to pay off the debt. I looked at my credit report and there were two instances of the loan on there.
One saying £2423 settled 27/05/07
then another saying £2423 owed last updated 13/02/11 (tommorow !)
I know Welcome has changed a bit lately and when i go on their website, i can only find a 24hour automated payment line, which is no good to me as i have no ref numbers etc etc.
So a couple of questions i would like help with if at all possible people !
A, Who is the debt with ? .. Do Welcome still administer these debts or have they sold them to a debt agency ?
B, When i finally get in contact with the debtors, should i be looking to repay the amount in full, or haggling to pay a reduced amount ?
Thankyou
