Credit Rating

I am now totally debt free:j, having managed to pay of £22000 worth of debt thanks to wonderful advise from the Site :money:and help from my other half:cool::heart:.

Now want to save up to get a mortgage, does anyone know how long it will take to restore my credit rating and is there anything I can do to help boost it along?

  • I have no idea - from all accounts it isn't an exact science.

That said, paying off £22k wouldn't have done your credit rating any harm at all!

    BIG well done to you!

  • Nice one! You would probably want to check your credit report now to make sure everything is correct. Good luck to your morgatge!

  • Big thanks for the support.

I have checked my Equifax report and even tho it was paid off at the beginnig of the month, no messages that they have been settled so will need to get on to the credit card companies
