Hi
Was wondering if anyone has been to X Scape at Braehead? Was thinking of going with OH for a day out but wondered if it is expensive and what else there is to do apart from skiing/snowboarding? The website doesn't go into much detail really.
Thanks
Scotlass

Theres a bowling alley, crazy golf course , a few shops, lots of restaurants and its right next door to braehead so even more shopping. I think all the prices for the ski slopes etc are on the site, the golf prices are here http://www.paradiseislandgolf.com/

Hi,
if you're looking to go skiing it is better to go during the week, they do a deal where you get 2 hours for £21 before 3pm. Peak hours, after 5pm on weekdays and at the weekend are £31 for 2 hours I think, all this info is on their website though. family tickets work out a bit cheaper, at peak times it is cheaper to buy a family ticket for 2 kids and 2 adults than for 2 adults alone!0 -
I was hoping to take my little girl there last week but once I'd priced it all up I couldn't believe how much it came to. I don't think they have priced it for the masses. We went and had a meal there which was lovely then went and looked at the ski slope. It looks fab but was packed with experienced skiers and snowboarders. I think that is who they've aimed it at - the people who can usually afford to go on loads of skiing holidays!!0

For anyone who is thinking of taking their kids to escape for a day out, take them up north for a day instead! There is a voucher for BOGOF which i posted earlier

It costs about the same as 2 hours at the snowdome. I've only started skiing in my 20s as my parents thought it was too expensive when I was younger which seems to be a common misconception. When I go I get up early so I am at the slopes by 9am at the latest and ski until 4-5pm. You really can't compare REAL skiing to a few hours at escape, so much more fun and value for money!

Theres usually snow up north when there s none down in the central belt, I was skiing in May this year!0
