  • a capital one cc is a sub prime card for people with no credit history or a poor credit history, the apr is about 34.9% and you will only get a low credit limit, however if you use it monthly and pay off in full each month it will build a credit history eventually allowing you to get a mainstream card
  • To be honest, why not look for a job in IT and start at the bottom.
It's all well and good doing those certs but if you look at network/systems engineer posts etc they all say experience over qualifications.

If you have no background of servers, routers, networking, switches etc then you will be hard pressed to find a job.

Find a firm who are offering a position to kick start Someones career in IT.
They will give you in house training and more than likely put you through some quali's all paid for.

    Good luck!

This too. I'm currently doing this which is what has given me the drive to learn all these things myself. To jump into most 25-30kpa jobs, they usually want a 3rd level degree plus these certifications. (i.e. getting on the job experience)

What's this credit card you speak of?

I know i really shouldn't get a loan when it's not vital i need one, but i have everything set out in my mind and all i really need is the money to make it happen.

I could save up, but by Christmas i want the qualifications and the job, and hopefully the money and a good credit rating to help me get my own house or at least start renting.

I wouldn't mind trying out some of these credit building cards to help me get my credit rating up.

I do have around 200 left in my account each month on average. It's not that i save it, it's just that i don't find anything i need or anything i'd like to spend it on.

I do keep track of things i buy to make it easier for me to see and control my spending as i don't want to break into my overdraft. I'm wanting to go on a holiday in May for my girlfriends birthday, so you could maybe say i'm saving money for that, although it shouldn't be my main priority.

    You are saving nothing
If you get a loan how are you going to pay it back as currently you spend everything you earn
You live at home; if you wanted to move out how would you be able to afford that

saving means putting money in a savings account each month and see the money grow... 200 the first month then add another 200 making 400 the next month, then 600 the third month, 2,400 after a year
