I've been self managing my debt mountain for just over a year now. I came out of my payment plan with Sainsbury's Bank recently and I fell into panic again. I rang them to go back into it and they offered to put my interest to 1%, instead of the lovely 26.9% it was on that they refused point blank to reduce. Ok it's not frozen but 1% is the next best thing. I asked why I hadn't been able to get this before but now they were offering it so freely, he replied "we've only just started offering it. It's new". Not sure about that. But anyway, I can start actually knocking the balance down now so me = happier!
Thanks to everyone who posts on here, I read as much advice as I can. Big help, cheers!x
