I doubt you will find any gym that caters specifically for under 16s. Most will offer family memberships but the terms will state something to the effect that children under 16 must be under the direct supervision of a adult."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

I found this .... Sharkys but this is a boxing club with minimal gym equipment.
However it's £3.50 a session and takes under 16's.
Can anybody else who lives in Leeds know of any independant gyms that they have used or heard of?
TIA

Evening,
I live in Leeds and have trained at a lot of gyms here. I've been going to the gym for years and have never heard of a gym that caters specifically to under 16 year olds. There's all of the usual gyms (david lloyd, virgin, fitness first) and a few good gyms hidden away near town (i used to train in a gym called bodylines which was a nice little gym with a great crowd training there (http://www.bodylinesnaturalgym.co.uk/index.html). There are a few more gyms on the same road as bodylines.
Also, it depends what you are training for - I don't want to patronise you, but a lot of people think you shouldn't really be lifting heavy weights until you're 16+. If that's the case you could just buy a set of cheap kettlebells, and do pressups/ squats until you're 16?0 -
