Tesco Dine for Wine Valentine offer off?

Just been to my local Tesco store (Evesham) and the Dine with Wine offer is off! Not sure whether this is a local or national issue.

What is really annoying is that all the food/wine is placed together as if the offer is on but they have simply taken the promo material on.

So my hubbie didn't realise until after the checkout and went to return it. The girl at Customer Service was useless and didn't know anything about it or what was happening. :mad:

Has anyone else had an issue?

I don't know, but we were in Tesco last year and overheard two CSA's discussing the fact that they had been told to remove the signage because the promotion was costing the store money and the manager wanted to dissuade people from buying the meal deals.

What's the point in them running it then if they know in advance it's going to cost them?? Seems stupid, they may as well not bother!!
It certainly LOOKED to be on earlier today in my Tesco's as the signs were up, but whether or not it actually was working, I couldn't say as we got a deal from M&S yday.

It has been advertised on tv tonight, and I also bought it instore earlier today (not for Valentine's day though!).

The normal offer with the wine has been removed for the week and should be replaced with a special Valentines offer for £15 in a separate fridge.
