 I am currently in the process of selling my endowment policy to a certaion company.i have signed all the papers agree to a figure and sent them my policy last week, when i wa assured by phone that they would send me the cheque within a week or so.I rang them this morning to see if they had recieved my policy and they have informed me that they are having problems with a "german bank" regarding the purchase of my policy, and they will get back to me about it within the hour.I could have sold my policy back to standaerd life for roughly the same amount without the hassle, any advice what to do next?

Have you ever wondered why serious investors are buying up all these endowments? I wouldnt sell unless I really had to. Not many investments are so Tax effective (as long as intended to repay a mortgage)0

Presumably for certain investors low growth and a punt on a big terminal bonus are OK based on what they're investing.
For those of us who will be £20K short on a mortgage amount - not so good.0 -
