Help with SOA

Hi, I'm trying to do my BR forms (in England) and I'm struggling with my SOA. There's me, my partner and young baby but just me going BR. My partner is self employed and has a low income, I earn more than he does, so the way we handle our situation is that I cover all the essential outgoings as I'm employed and we know what is coming in from my wage each month. My partner has outgoings of his own in terms of loans (one of which is for a car that I use predominantly), fuel, phone, insurances etc but he contributes to the household by largely covering housekeeping expenses and any (meagre) entertainment costs we may have. We figure that these are the areas that we can 'tighten our belt' on when his income drops.
The problem I have is I'm worried that the OR won't accept that I am responsible for covering all the outgoings and impose an IPA/IPO on the basis that my partner should be contributing more towards overall outgoings when in reality his incomje doesn't allow for this. Also what should I put for the housekeeping expenses, should this be just what I contribute or what we as a family of three spend? What do they allow these days for housekeeping, does anyone know?
Thanks in anticipation for your help.

Hi, just a thought - the debt free wannabe board are really good at knowing whats what on a SOA. Not sure how much they know about it for bancruptcy though but it might be worth a try. Very knowledgeable people over there, I'm sure they can help in some way.0

hi there and welcome
there is some guidance in post 68, however, please note this is only guidance and if you use these figures the OR will be suspicious and possibly examine your case closer. why don't you post your SOA on here for comment?

i was in a similar position to you that my partner earnt less because he was studying. however, the OR will want to make sure your partner contributes a fair proportion of their income to the household.
hope this helps a bit0
