Could this phone be unlocked and used on an O2 network?

I got one of these today and was really dissapointed,
Firstly the phone itself is a beast! Really chunky!
Secondly you have to pay £1.99 for ringtones plus a £1.49 a month charge to keep the tone, which sucks!
There is no usb so you can't put your own ringtones on from the computer, you are stuck with their choices so customizing is limited.
Brousing is only free whilst on the 3 and yahoo search sites, once you try and access the site you want it becomes payable. You can buy music from the 3 music store for 99p per track but they cannot be used as ringtones. I havent been on the 3 website yet, hopefully there may be better ringtone choices on there but i don't hold much hope!
The sim card is glued in so no hope of taking your old phone number with you.
Personally the fact that Argos basically gives you a penny says it all, this beast will cost you more in the long run if your into customizing your phone but its ok if you are just using it for txting/chatting.
I will probably give mine to my 11 year old and wait till the January sales to get a decent Nokia.

You can transfer your number to 3 and they will give you £10 credit if you do. There should be a leaflet about it in the box.
