How is that accusing you of anything? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
Katrina,
Lots of people come here for help in paying their debts, and many of us feel strongly that if a debt is yours, you should pay it if you can. There is a thread running about prejudice against people with debt, and a big theme seems to be those who acknowledge the debts are morally theirs but look to get out of paying - that really rankles with those of us who went without to make sure we paid it all back. If you were advised to do this by CCCS, fair play, but it is up to you to do what is morally right as well as legally possible.
Perhaps they could provide you with a full statement of your account, and you could see what was spent on goods, and what was made up of interest and fees. You have the stuff. You should really pay for it. Offer a full and final settlement on what you asked for and received, but skip the fees etc, since you did not agree to them.
Good luckSome days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I have not rang the cccs about this letter yet but will do later. Thought I would see if people could help me on here first.
So CCCS have now changed their opinion on this?
National debt line always had the opinion of not paying unenforceable debts but not CCCS.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
