Confidence in buying

Hi
I'm looking to buy some building materials that I saw on Ebay
I've been in contact with the vendor
but he wants the cash paid directly into his bank account

I said that I'd pay using paypal or I could pay half now and half on delivery, neither method he was keen on

How can I be confident of who I'm buying from?
Is there a way for a 3rd party to hold the money until the goods are delivered

personally I wouldn't buy from someone like that, could you not look elsewhere? its not a bargain if you lose your money.
I suppose you could say you need to pay by credit card so unless they take credit cards you have to use paypal.
Its all a bit odd anyway.

yea, u could bulid your confidence by buying your building materials on the larger-sized store and ask your friends and relatives for many useful imformations. hope that useful and hope everything goes well with you. best regards!
