I have decided to replace my shed which is looking the worse for wear.

I havent a clue what I should be looking for, if anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it.

Also any recommendations for companies. I will need the supplier to remove and dispose of the existing shed.

Many thanks in advance.

  • If you need the shed removed for free why not put an ad on the freegle site. They recycle all sorts www.ilovefreegle.org and if you get a shed company to remove it, they will charge you.
I once bought a shed from B&Q...what a mistake that was..you have to put the thing up yourself and nail it etc, and hammer on the roofing felt, and the thing was only toungue&grove, really cheap cheap. Would never buy one again.
We now have a 10X6 shed that a local company made , and delivered, and put up for me. All we had to was put down paving slabs^ for it to sit on. This shed was about £400 and although more expensive than the b&q one..it is much stronger, and worth it. The old b7q one even got damaged when my kids bike fell against it..so you see it was not strong.
My suggestion is for you to save up a few £ as we did and get a shed that is exactly what you need. when you get a man to make it, you can get whatever size you want, get the window on thatever side you want and door width (so you can get lawnmower through) etc...
Might even get it a bit cheaper if you offer cash!!

    Thanks

I have a guy coming out to give me a free quote, which on the website is for an 8 x 6 shed fitted and removal of the old one for £495. I have no idea if this is a good price or not? I dont even know if my old one measures 8 x 6 and dont have a tape measure.

Im not sure if the freecycle would be a good idea as the shed I have is in rather bad condition?
  • I can highly recommend Smylie Sheds in Conlig (between Newtownards and Bangor), they make top quality sheds to your specification and are well priced too. Check out their website or phone them on 02891 464045
