Day off for interview - excuse!!

Hi
Following a job interview today, DS has been called for a second interview in 2 weeks time. The interview is more than the regular 30 - 60mins as he has to sit various tests/assessments.
He took a days leave today, and was asked by his manager what he was doing on his day off - nothing really prying, but he said he was visiting relatives over the weekend and would not be back in time.
He has leave for his next interview, but is looking for a reasonable 'excuse' in case asked about another day off. Any ideas to deflect any prying questions?
Thanks
Mpet

Where has this DS/ DD/ DH stuff come from? Confuses the hell out of me... I will assume that DS therefore = dog-ugly sister on this occasion

At the end of the day they dont need to make an excuse but it could be anything from a friends b'day trip, getting a boil lanced on their !!!!, wedding, christening, full body wax.... or even just fancy a day off.... obviously the more out of your control it is the better the chance there is of getting the day offAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

For heavens sake dont say you have to have a little operation on your knee. My mate did that last week and he keeps forgetting to hobble about until one of the management ask him how he's doing.0

Do you want DS to get this new job? If you do, then he can simply say it is an urgent family appointment that his parent(s) won't let him miss!
