Ge money & safestyle windows
Can anyone tell me if this is correct. 2 years ago I had 3 windows fitted by safestyle. Cost was £1840. The salesman did mislead me on what I was signing and the paper copy of the agreement is very unclear. I had the money to pay for them at the time but he persuaded me it was better to pay off through finance as would not cost alot more. Then my payment monthly amount began to increase which I did not understand why (variable rate apparently) It went from £35 a month and is now at £49 a month. I am 2 years into paying it and have rang them to pay it off and am being told I still owe £1780. After 2 years I have paid £1032 and only still owe £1780 from a £1840 sale. How can this be right? what can I do? Anyone else heard of this?

Hi
Thats certainly not much capital that has been paid off - check the agreement to see if you are paying for PPI on this loan.
Have you got your last annual statement for the account and does that give a breakdown on the interest being charged and the amount you are paying off each month? Is there anything else appearing on the statements (such as PPI)?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
YOU BUY ONE I SAY YOU BUY ONE AND YOU GET ONE FREE(sorry couldnt resist)ask them for a statement if you havent had one,and if they added PPI without your knowledgemis-sold the ppi then claim it back0

I can sympathise with you. I was peruaded by Salesperson from Weatherseal to take out loan for Roofline product last year and given misleading information. After eight months I asked for closure cost and discoverd that a loan of £2,250 had become a debt of £2,995 to pay off. I'd been told that monthly payments went to reduce the debt but out of monthly sum of £52.05, £47 was interest. The loan was through Barclay's Partner Finance and I'd suggest anyone dealing with them or Weatherseal should beware. Complaints to both of them have been to no avail. I also had £90 deducted for some sort of Insurance which I hadn't requested and only had it refunded after a long struggle0
