Just had to tell you all, had my bonus pay today and it was more than expected. It means that I have paid an extra £1700 off my only remaining credit card leaving less than £1000 left!
In total since January I have paid £5000 off credit cards, £1000 off a loan (now settled early) and a £500 OD. This is in addition to the regular payments off a long standing loan now below £3000!
In addition, I have bought all Xmas presents except one - all with cash saved up , no credit cards - and have most of the money ready for the Xmas food shopping and extras.
I even have an emergency savings account! Who'd have thought!?
It's all down to this site and all of the tips and encouragement you all provide.
I hope to have the last CC down to £500 by the end of January.
Just thought I'd pass on my good news - if I can do it anyone can!

            Thanks!
I don't know if I have a little bit of a different perspective than others - when my credit card is paid off I'll feel virtually debt free. The loan is a manageable, budgeted-for debt, so kind of feel that it's not really a debt IYKWIM.
I will try to make in-roads with this too when the card is paid but am not worried about it. Would be nice for it to disappear too though!0
