Good Morning!
I want to make a beef pie using leftover roast beef and using pastry.
I've had a look for recipes but they mostly have ale in them and I'm not keen on that (also don't have any lol!).
I can make pastry and I have an idea of how to prepare the meat etc. but can anyone give me any ideas on cooking times? My meat is already cooked!
Would be very grateful for any advice or help. This is my first time making a pie and the first time my hubby has agreed to eat leftover meat so I've got to get it right so he'll do it again :rotfl:
Thanks

I'd say for a basic meat pie cook at 220* for 15 mins the at 170* for a further 30/40 mins depending on how brown you want your pastry. If the meat is already cooked and you have added gravy that should be fine. I would actually add onions and carrots to mine for bulking out and adding flavour.#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

This is my favourite recipe - you can make pie instead of pasties:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
