I don't know about this code, but the one you get from WH Smith is only valid for card size A5 which is 2.99 + pp, which is £0.47 for standard size (whatever that means, and kept secret until after you have signed up and log in and probably will be told just before you pay). I find that post offices around where I live, now have decent selection of cards for £0.99. I can think of several better ways of spending the extra £2 than splashing out on card that won't make any difference to the receiver and will be sitting on the window ledge for max. a week.
