Need impressive, yet idiot proof cake recipe Help!

As above really.
I am a pretty good cook and handy with pastry but really, really terrible at baking cakes. I want to suprise my excellent cake baking OH on Valentines day with a super duper cake which is genuinely idiot proof but won't take any time at all to whip up (I've a 3 month old baby to look after at the same time) so basically, quick, easy, fabulous and maybe just a little bit sexy.
Any ideas? x
