Hi Ladies, Have been luking around here a while as my daughter is getting married in August this year, I have a question for you She looked at dresses last August and found one she liked, so she paid a deposit and was told by the shop owner that is would be here in end of Jan, Today she has rung and been told MAY does it take 9 months for a dress,
We going with the bridemaids next weekend to look at dresses they will also be ready in May so 9 months for a wedding dress and 3-4 for bridesmaids, does this sound right
daughter in a bit of a panic. any advice !

I think that usually its at least 6 months if you need a particular dress so 9 months isn't that unreasonable...my dress took 7 months and then had to return to have an alteration....frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
I am getting married in august this year and I ordered my dress at beginning of October and it is due in April but May as latest date so doesn't sound too unreasonable.0

I was amazed at how long it took too, but 9 months wouldn't be out of the ordinary (although she should have been told this when she ordered).0

I would suspect that the dress shop delayed ordering the dress in so that it would arrive just in time for your daughter's first fitting, so that they could avoid having to store it for five months. I wouldn't worry too muchDon't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0
