Bank Accounts

Hooray..after months of reading about all of our problems on this site and how we can sort them I have finally had the best phonecall of all today..from PayPlan. My appointment went great and as I had everything to hand it was only half an hour. I feel alive again and can see that light at the end of the tunnel. So stuff the credit card companies that have been ripping me off with such high interest payments ! Stuff the Indian call centres that can only say "For Sure...we want payment now ! " and Hello to life again. My kids have their happy Mum back, my Husband has his happy wife back and I can at last sleep easier tonight.
Only one problem..what bank account can I use now that I am entering into a DMP ?..any suggestions. wanted to go with nationwide but would prefer a debit card like an Electron card for example or is this not the norm here ?
Any ideas will be gratefully received and I am off to get the account sorted tomorrow morning following all your advice. I know that the CO-OP can do it but that is all so far.
This is it..my second chance to get it right and I am not gonna stuff up.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR ADVICE AND MOST OF ALL SUPPORT THROUGH THIS TERRIBLE TIME. Loads of Hugs to you all.:T

  • Alliance and leicester do a basic account with a visa electron debit card.I took out mine online, think I did it by applying for current account which they refused but offered me the basic account as an alternative.

  • I have just signed up with Alliance and Leicester for their standard curent account with Electron card and cheque book..is this okay to do with me entering into a DMP? I have no overdraft on this account naturally. Any advice please.
