Does anyone have an electoral role disc?

I have recently updated and aquired the 2002/2003 electoral role disc. Does anyone else have one as I need to sort something out. In order for "it to work", one has to enter certain things, ie surname/location or region, but the thing is, it requires the first part of the postcode. So how does one get to know these. Also, are you able to enter a street and get the occupants ?

If you don't know the post code then just type * in the box. You can use this if you don't know the door number or the persons initial too.
Have a little try using your own postcode, but typing * in the boxes for the other criteria & it should give you a list of everybody sharing the same postcode for you.
Or try it out using your surname, & you should end up with a list of everyone registered who shares your surname.
Hope this helps. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Thank you, I would never have thought of that. I'll try it now. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I have a UK-Info Disk, Digital Phone Directory, which has now ceased to work. It keeps telling you to put in the disk when the disk is already in. The tech support is run by 192.com and the answer they give is hopeless. The number of people who 'found this helpful' when I tried it was 'one'.
Does anyone have any ideas or found a similar problem with this disk.0 -
Out of curiosity, I have a disc bought from https://www.dreamdirect.co.uk which works fine and another which was a freebie with PCHome and has limited facilities.
