MY REPLY FROM TESCO.....this is a bit long winded but I think this is a result, altho a lot of the info we already know, they have not answered one of my questions which I will ask again "if when using coupons and conditional spends my bill comes to say 50p is this still acceptable"

Thank you for your email addressed to our Chief Executive, Sir Terry Leahy. I’ve been asked to respond on his behalf.
To ensure we treat our customers equally regardless of where they shop we have the same coupon acceptance policy throughout the country. It’s therefore very disappointing that you’ve been given different information depending on the branch you have visited. I’m sorry for the frustration this has caused and appreciate the opportunity to explain our policy to you.
We are happy to accept coupons where you have bought the product and have met any other Terms and Conditions such as minimum spends or promotion end dates. This applies to both Tesco and branded vouchers. Unfortunately if you haven't bought the product we can't accept the coupon.
In addition to this we also accept some competitor conditional spend vouchers. These are the kind which offer a discount when you spend over a certain amount, such as £5 off a £50.00 spend. While this matter is always under review, we currently accept conditional spend vouchers from the following competitors:
    ASDA
    Morrisons
    Boots
    Sainsburys
    Co-op
    Marks & Spencer
    Waitrose
    Aldi
This information above also applies to all vouchers which can be printed from the internet. However, as with standard coupons, the printed code must be unique. This means that while printouts will be accepted, photocopies will not. Where vouchers are issued to a named customer it is not possible for anyone else to redeem them.
As you mention, we have recently taken the decision to accept Asda price guarantee vouchers. ***While there is no limit to the value of these you can redeem,**** we do require the voucher to be presented with the appropriate receipt.
Thank you for taking the time to contact our Chief Executive. I do hope you find this information helpful.
    Kind Regards

    Angela Gorrie
    Customer Service Executive

thank you so much for your reply and I dont want to be a pest but there was just one question that was not answered and its a problem I have come up against several times,

"if when using coupons and conditional spends my bill comes to say £1 or 50p is this still acceptable"

once again thank you so much.,

Just think how sad these petty little Hitlers are to get their jollies in upsetting people and driving away customers like that. They might not find it so funny if jobs get cut because custom is down.. ((hugs))

    Gill,
wow what experince, I had bad exp in my Mr T but never that bad. Hope your recovering from this experi.

    Take care, naomi
