thanks for that, will try a small one first, checking prices 1st on day. but will try getting things others like yourself have stated as buying and getting the dtd.
which wine did you get?czerniacha wrote: »there is no deff with tesco but worth a try imo... check the items and prices carefully on the day you shop, if bogof only buy one(as it's then half price in asda so you get it free) and if you want any other items and didn't check pay separately... try with a small shop first, get an airwick thingy, wine and some cheese and give it a go... you can always return it if it doesn't work... say take it back, it's half price in asda!hth

Can someone let me know why i was stopped at tesco with a dtd voucher for £16.36 that theyve refused.
They said any barcode with the 999 on it is a fraudulant one and they are not accepting them.
What annoyed me is i have another £80 shop which will give me a good voucher but i pressume this will be stopped also

I would contact head office as this is ridiculous. Any DTD voucher for £10 or more will end in 9990. They just scan the barcode then input the amount.
The communication and training within Tesco for this promotion is up to their usual standard ie c**p :mad:0 -

Email head office and complain about that specific store. You won't get a reply until next week now, I shouldn't think. Just be polite but say it was embarrassing etc. Putting it in writing can have more effect because on the phone people can say anything.
They will respond.0 -
Thank you BS.
On another subject, if any of you purchased the 400gm Nutella spread for Pancake Day, check your receipt as instead of paying £1. I paid £1.90 so have been back today and got DTD £1.80.
My Tesco had run out of the 400g for £1 jars so I bit my lip and bought the 200g one @ £1.30 (I know, I know but had promised the kids some for the pancakes..) and would you believe it, the Tesco Price Guarantee paid me 60p back as that size is a £1 in Asda. Nothing else I buy seems to feature in their scheme apart from things that are allegedly the same price so I was quite chuffed - although I'm beginning to doubt my sanity entering all these damn receipts in on-line to get pennies back.....
Have you noticed though how there are no receipts blowing around the supermarket car parks any more. Those wombles are working very hard :rotfl:0 -
