Ahhh just typed a big long post and then accidently pressed something which deleted it

Thanks for the Greggs comp - won a fiver last time with the Pumpkins. Think I've still got £1 left in my purse.

Been to Tesco's today - got my £49 shop for £34 after a bit of hard work and SA till training by me :p Went in armed with my TL letter, Co-op conditional spend and Boots conditional spend plus a few other little coupons. I've never tried to use a Boots one before so I prepared myself for some grief. SA handed it me back like I wasn't meant to give her that one and I explained the letter and the conditional spend button on the till. Supervisor asked if she could take a copy of my letter for her boss and till staff. Apparently she had been told only to take the Asda PG ones...that's it!

No velvet promo packs to be found and I couldn't even check the cheap 10p mugs because the self price checker thing had been removed  Will avoid that store next time - not my usual store but fancied a change, ha!

lets hope this sorts the problems.

Thank you for letting me know the branch you have experienced these problems in. I’ve now passed details of this issue to James Sanders, our Store Manager. James will remind his staff of our coupon policies and I am confident that this will have to prevent our customers receiving poor service in future.
While I regret that you no longer intend to visit our St Austell branch I do hope you will continue shopping with us elsewhere.
    Kind Regards

  • Got a mailing from clubcard today with vouchers to claim 5p off per litre for the next 6 weeks, however you still have to spend £50 instore and hand over your till receipt with the petrol voucher. Each voucher is numbered and is for specified dates and your till receipt must also match the specified dates.
The usual 5p off fuel promotions instore trigger a till spit regardless of conditional spends and coupons but I can see trouble ahead  with this one, especially as garage staff probably rarely deal with coupons and might insist that the £50 spend is the actual amount of money shown as handed over on the receipt.

Mad was in Barclays bank today. Was filling out the form for depositing cash in the ATM. Finished me transaction and grabbed all me paperwork. Got home and found an envelope with someones bank details etc. that had been sealed. Mad opens up said envelope and finds two cheques totalling £1000:eek:
Rushed back into town and explained to one of the staff what had happened. He replied "so you want to deposit this in your account?" Oh my days just for a minute I thought I was in Tesco's:rotfl:Explained again why I was there and was holding a grand in me paw. "Oh right I'll hand it in" and went to trot off.. Errr no pal you need to take my details, I've returned someone else's property, it aint yours, it aint mine and it ain't the banks. "OK put your name and numer on the envelope".
A thankyou would have been nice!

Once upon a time bank staff seemed to have a bit of ability beyond having very flicky fingers, now it seems they employ them on such low wages that the concept of doing anything out of the normal run of things is often met with a blank stare.
Well done you for taking the time to take this back in, might be worth a call to the manager next time you are passing that way to reaffirm your honest citizen status.
