Hi All,
My boyf has just sold his house (well accepted an offer ...) and an online conveyancing company looked good but the small print shows lots of extra fees.
Anyone used anyone cheap recently? How much did it cost?
Cheers!!!
Love EJ

Hmm ... at least they guarantee an all-inclusive price, but the £342.50 they quoted for my remortgage sounds a bit steep. Thanks for the suggestion, anyway.0

After scouring the internet, we found Complete Conveyancing (Robert Moore Nicholas Jones) to be the cheapest at the time - http://www.rmnj.com/convey/home.asp.
This was about 2 years ago now, but probably worth a look. Didn't have any problems with their service.0 -
The cheapest seems to be abodeYou'll Never Be Rich Working for Someone Else0

Yes, RMNJ want £355 or so for mine. So Abode are slightly cheaper.
Last time we remortgaged a friend (who's a solicitor) did it for £150 in fees - compared to the £250 these people want - so I will see if he's up for doing it again.0 -
For a cheap conveyancing company in Scotland, I could probably recommend Conveyancing Direct ( ConveyancingDirect.co.uk )
I used them when buying my flat, with no problems.
My mother used them when buying her flat and that time they made a mistake. They accidentally gave the wrong destination bank account number to the bank when transfering her payment for the flat to the seller! THis could have been a big problem as the delay caused by this could have caused my mother to be in breach of contract. My mother had to spend a while phoning the bank to sort it out and the seller forgave her for the delay. Conveyancing Direct refunded half their fees.
This time I plan to remortgage my flat and they have quoted: 356.45 including all the various fees. They seem much cheaper than other solicitors-- but they might be more error prone.0
