What Do You Pay In Gym Membership?

Just wondering what other people are paying inc. admin charge on gym membership. I live close to an LA Fitness and work in Belfast City Centre. I know a lot of deals will be floating about come the new year, just want to get the best deal?

At moment I am using Breath gym part of Castlereagh LC.
Thanks.

    Hi there
Fitness First have a deal that costs £15 per month basic, and then you pay £1 every time you visit the gym. Nearest to City Centre is Boucher though, so might not be ideal for you
  • Is there a student discount?

Could be worth signing up to a cheap evening class, get ur student card and go for that option?
  • Im with LA Fitness at Shawsbridge and Adelaide Street and my member ship is £0 per month because my fiance pays it! :rotfl:

They will be doing some 2-for-1 deals soon, where you get a platinum membership (usually £60 a month) and split it between 2 people for £30 a month. Then you can use any LA club and you get a towel each visit too.

I would reccomment LA, i used to work for them and they are a really good company.

I used to get the £40 odds student rate at esporta... even then I couldnt justify it.
    2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.

No longer a student :( LA Fitness best one for me. I used to pay £40 a month at the gym at La Mon House and loved it - pool to myself a lot of the time, but then I moved house.

    Thanks all.

I paid £1,400 for the year but that was for 2 adults and 2 teenagers at Total Fitness.
  • I used to be a member of Fitness First and left as the housekeeping went downhill - not very clean and they let people shave in the jacuzzi which was a bit yuck.
I signed up at a little gym at Ballyhackamore - just down from The Point- and my friend and I have a BOGOF membership which costs £25 per month between us. We can go anythime we want - doesnt have to be together. The gym is very clean and has everything you get at FF or David Lloyd except pool. Really nice instructor as well.
  • Forgot to say they also do student rates - daughter and son went during the summer.
