Just thought I would add this out of interest as M&S, Sainsburys and Morrisons etc. usually do something similar. It's available from this Friday instore and online. Lovely looking selection too:

i like the look of this, but think m&s are also doing a starter so will probably go with that.

Marks and Spencer are indeed doing the starter...but its also £5 more than this one

I believe the co op are also doing a deal I cant remember what it was main and pudding I think with quite a decent bottle of fizz...£12...it was reviewed in the sunday express magazine last week and came out best for value...the bottle of fizz was about £10 on its own...

Bumping this thread as the offer starts today - something for the weekend?

I also just noted that this offer includes 2 side dishes, so although it doesn't have a starter it is still excellent value. I am going to pop out for one later today.

I found the co op deal tucked away in our local store this morning...very good I think if you are on a budget......all for £12.00

1 MAINS for 2....things like chicken breasts or salmon in watercress sauce
2 SIDES....included several potato oprions or bags of salad or veg mix
2 puddings...individual servings of either melt in the middle choc pud or a choc strawberry mousse thing
Bottle of fizz...pink spumante...these are on offer for £5.00 but were originally £10.99
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
