Most Tesco Opticians customers will also be Tesco Grocery customers. That's the whole idea. They unwittingly pay for their eye exam in other ways.

Personally, I'd rather have my eyes tested at a local practice, where the service is valued, rather than just a loss leader.

Is there an alternative to their 0845 6013479 number? I can't find one on saynoto0870.

I use 0161 942 7719. Their central customer service unit which handles appointments.

I went to Tesco ONCE and they put the wrong lens in the wrong way.
Told me i had to get used to it
I had a girl 'fit' them who told me that the usual person was off sick and she was taken from the cold meat counter to 'fit' frames !!
I went straight back to specsavers who told me the prescription was totally wrong.
I argued and argued but never did get my money back and that whole experience cost me £140 for 2 pairs i could never wear and another £45 in specsavers to get a pair I could use.
