Santander/Cahoot

Hi,
Have tried getting in touch with Santander recently to ask about reducing my monthly payments on my Cahoot loan that was passed to them as I am just on maternity pay now.
When I have finally got in touch with them they have told me they can't access Cahoot accounts and my account is with Cahoot??
When this company took over I received a letter saying to contact Santander for everything in the future and have had a loan statement from Santander since then.
Confused??

  • Hi,

Just wondered if anyone had any advise on this matter please and who I should actually contact now, I;m confused?

    Thanks x
  • Cahoots web site says to log in, and then click the "contact us" link. I guess they want to handle Cahoot enquiries over email only ? Seems quite odd, but I can't tell you more than that, as I'm not a Cahoot customer.

Ive just gone through similar, original loan with cahoot, migrated to santander in March 2010. Cannot log in anymore on cahoot. Do you not receive monthly statements from santander about the loan? We do so i rang them and they where helpful. I think the loan account number changed when the account migrated.

    Hi,

After sending in an official complaint to Santander about the above, I finally got a letter back from them saying they had received it and were investigating and would get back to me within 2 weeks.

I thought this was great as they had actually replied.

Now after 3 letters exactly the same which they keep sending out every 2 weeks I have still had no actual response from them.

As happy as I am that they are keeping me informed, how many of these letters do I put up with and what can I do next to push them along?

    Thanks
