Bought a car

Hi everyone

I bought a car on finance yesterday and I'm just waiting on a phone call today with the decision.

While looking at the contract details, I noticed that they've spelt my surname wrong (only one letter is wrong) despite me spelling out my surname over 5 times to the sales man... and he has got my postcode wrong also.

Will this affect any decisions the finance company makes?

No. I took a 4x4 for a test drive but it was a piece of dog poo. I bought a Vauxhall Vectra. The fact that it came with cruise control sold it to me. :rotfl:

I have cruise control and hate it. Never used it after the first week of playing.

Cruise control is nice on long journeys.
  • I would imagine if the postcode and name is wrong on the finance application it would have a drastic effect on the likelihood of success?

It's very useful up here, we have long stretches of roadworks on the M1 and M62 which means you can just set it to fifty and avoid the average speed traps :p

It's a 1.8 VVT with leather seats. :smileyhea I do a lot of motorway driving so the cruise control is a godsend - I had it in a hire car and never turned it off.

I just called them. They said the salesman will call me back asap.

Cruise control is fantastic, set it at 30 and ignore all those nasty camera type people.
