Just drafting our invites now and we're not sure what date to put our RSVP on.
We need to give final numbers to the venue 2 weeks before the day, and want to be sure that we have time to send a second wave of invites if we have time.
What dates are you lot giving?

Asking people to reply too far in advance can cause problems...personally we asked for replies 2 weeks ahead of the venues final date so 4 weeks in advance....that gives you time to chase up the non replies.
We did not need a "second wave " of invites ...I think only 2 maybe 3 replied as a no and my mum took it upon herself to invite a freind of hers in their place by word of mouth!!frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Did everyone meet the deadline?
That's what I'm worried about, having to chase people too close to the final deadline.0 -
We're planning on asking for replies 4 weeks in advance, but as soon as we get a 'no' we're going to send out another invitation in its place straight away, so rather than a second wave, it will be more like a second drip-feed.

We sent our out just before Christmas with an RSVP date of 15th Jan for our wedding 25th March.
We had to chase up quite a few people - but that may have been affected by us sending them out so close to Christmas.
