Diary of lauren_1, kicked debt in the (use any word you feel apropraite)

I thought it might be a good idea to start my own diary, i dont mind if no one reads it but it mainly just for my own motivation.
Ok lets start at the begining, a very good place to start......la la la ....i should of been maria:p
ok my lightbulb moment was a few weeks before my youngest one was born (5 months) and had just given up work to go on maternity leave and discoved babyworld, i found the living on a budget incredible usefull and since have reclaimed nearly £1000 in bank charges, we had been trying to pay off the cards and stuff but this is when it really hit me. I made the decision to use cloth nappies then too, my only G.C.S.E's being in science and textiles i started to make my own too.
So far we have paid off at least £1500 with 2 small children too and at the moment i am back working p/t, selling my nappies, wipes and boosters on ebay and doing a p/t course in anatony and physiology (starting massage in january) to add some more income to pay off our debts quicker.
Well that was instalment 1:T must dash as i have 30 items ending today:j

    Lauren_1,

Not sure if this is much use to you but:

are you doing a Swedish Massage course? I only ask because I've done the A+P course last year (still to pass it) and have started the Swedish Massage course back in sept. I have found out that I didn't really need to do the A+P course because it is covered in the swedish massage course I am doing at the moment (although not in the same depth or detail).

both courses are VTCT and the A+P is useful for exemption from other courses. I paid £178 for the A+P course but could have potentially saved myself this if I'd have realised that it was covered in the massage course.

Like I said, I'm not sure if this is info is much use to you but you may be able to save a few pounds. PM me if you have any specific questions.

    Good Luck,
    FatJock
  • Hi

tbh it depends on the course you are taking and what you plan to do with your qualification in the future. If you're just going to do swedish massage then the inbuilt A&P is sufficient (if provided). If you want to go on to aromatherapy or sports for example some examining bodies insist on a separate A&P qualification.

The A+P is an intensive 13 weeks course so it might be differnt to yours

Sounds like you're doing well so far - ebaying the nappies that you make is a brilliant idea! If you feel like posting your SOA, I'm sure people on here will give it a good working over and save you more cash...

    good luck!
