A step too far

I am all for saving the planet, but does anybody agree that heating a swimming pool from the heat generated by a crematorium is maybe a step too far:eek:

If you wish in this world to advance, your merits you're bound to enhance; You must stir it and stump it, and blow your own trumpet, or trust me, you haven't a chance.

    Why?

It is heat from incinerators which is being wasted. it is not like they are using the ashes to heat the water. Or burning bodies just to make the heat.

If it saves £15K then why not. Means the money can be used else where.

I wonder if the crematorium already use some of waste heat itself to heat water for their own central heating.

Would that mean you never set foot inside a crematorium again?

I think it is brillant idea and is thinking outside the box. The amount of waste we create as a planet is vast and needs to be cut down.

I am sure you are like most people and ask how the local swimming pool is heated? If it had not made it in to the papers no one would have been any the wiser.

    Yours
