Stuff for stopping finger nails splitting

Not sure if this is the correct place to put this, but ...............
does anyone know of stuff for strengthening nails that works? I find that my nails are very ridged now and split from the ends. That means that I have to keep filing them back to prevent the start of a split travelling right up the nail.
They don't split far enough back to be painful, but they always look very short.
I have used many of the 'strengtheners', 'titanium,' 'diamond' etc
Can't afford all the professional 'false' nails etc I'm afraid.
Help please.............

Sally Hensen triple strength nail protector is really good. It comes in a green bottle and doesn't peel when your hands come into contact with water ie. in the shower or washing dishes which is always annoying.0

Neem oil is very good. I use this pen but I've been told you can get the oil very cheaply from Asian shops as many Asian women use it on their hair0

my daughter takes cod liver oil capsules, and says she says she notices the difference in her nails when she stops taking it. not a quick fix but maybe for long term0
