hi wonderin if any1 could help me..... i keep gettin late payment charges of £12 a month then a extra £12 payment from littlewoods direct for sending a letter.. this is all because they are wantin a payment before i get paid. ive contact them an they said all i can do is except the late payment charge n pay it when i get paid as they cant change the payment to the later date as they are every 28days and not every month... but am fallin behind with ma payment because of this matter. an i know owe them £245 a month with i cant afford.. an asked them to be put on a payment plan..but said i coudnt go on one as i couldnt stick to the dates when they want their money as when i get paid its monthly not every 4weeks..

A lot of catalogues do ask for payment every 4weeks, usually they key is making sure you build up a small surplus so that the one month a year that needs 2 payments from 1 pay packet you have some money put aside to make that extra payment.
How much do you owe them in total?
Your 4weekly payment is £245? or is this your regular payment plus arrears?

i owe £728... the £245 is includin the arrears.. and it is a month.. ive been payin £150 as my account is only in arrears by £95 i fell behind because of the 2 payments in the one month thing! ...i havent ordered anythin from them for about 2months so i can get the payments down.. but i recived a call tonight an the girl was rude on the fone threatin that they are sendin it away to debt collectors. i said i would pay 200 this month so its only 45 behind but she wasnt having any of it. they recieve payment everymonth from me an its not like am not tryin to solve the matter they just wont do anythin to help...0

How do you pay them?
You need to make sure you pay them at least something between every statement date and due date - even if you cannot manage the full amount owing then at least make a token payment - to tie in to their payment deadlines. That should stop the late payment charges I think.
I would send them a letter telling them that all future communication must be in writing and for them not to contact you by phone anymore - see here - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=11571485&postcount=4 That should stop some of the hassle.
You could also write to them setting out a repayment offer you can afford - eg agree not to spend on the account anymore and tell then you will pay the balance off at £100 per month for 8months or whatever you can afford. They may well accept an offer like this and close the account or they may decide to pass it on to debt collectors - either way you can only pay what you can afford but people usually have more luck getting payment plans accepted if they deal in writing rather than over the phone.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

the thing is i pay all ma bills monthly... so i dont have any cash to give them durin their statement.. but i always pay it on the 28th via their site usin ma bankcard gaurenteed( as thats the day i get paid).so its not like am not tryin to pay them..ive told them that i wont order any more items from them until this is payed off ( as its only behind by 95pound ) then they are addin obviously 24pound a month n this is been like for about 6months..but i said to them i would pay 150 a month until the whole account is payed off an but they arent acceptin it monthly as wantin it 4weeks.. an i just dont have it.(that way0

just received a call from a nice guy from the email i sent them.. i told them i dont i have a problem in payin the minium payment of 150 a month to them its the arrears of 95 n the late payment charges that am tryin to pay off to them... so he is goin to fone me back n let me know wat he can do for me ;D fingers crossed.0

they have sorted it out for me.. what i was doin was just payin it on the 28th of the month even tho ma statemant haddnt been in. but it would still request a payment for the next month even tho i paid it.. so he took the arrrears off n late payments for this month.. an i shouldnt get anymore now.. woohoo0
