Current Account Mortgages - Another benefit?

Hi All
I've been looking into various different options over the months and just a quick query which I hope someone can help with. In other posts it seems that if you build up a large savings pot with an offset mortgage, then lose your job you have to eat into this until it's at a present level whereby you could get help....
With an account such as the One Account where it's all in one pot, does this still apply as you don't have any obvious savings pot ?
Probably a silly question, but one that's got me thinking!!
