Someone help me find work?

I would like to work in transport hauling, but i don't have a driving licence, is there a scheme or someone who can help me get a driving licence?

I have a provisional licence, when i phoned some driving schools they said they were putting up their prices soon from petrol increases and that the test may soon go to them instead of testing centres, because of government cuts.

Any genuine ideas? i could pay around £10 of the lesson myself, any more i simply can't do i am on benefits.

Sorry but i think any lessons and tests are self funding, i don't think there is any help with funding from any other sources.

I agree, plus no one is going to employ a newly qualified driver when there are plenty of experienced applicants available.

It costs around £3000 to do a HGV licence and Drivers CPC and to drive articulated lorries needs two tests so thats about £5k in all. Plenty of HGV drivers with decades experience all looking for jobs. Also the average working week is 55hrs, a working day can be up to 15hrs and you're usually starting or finishing between 4-6am in the morning.

I need to learn to drive soon as well to apply for most of the jobs I want. It's hard to learn to drive on benefits.

You live in London according to your location, !!!!!! do you need to drive in a city with the best public transport in the entire UK? You want to try living up here where the buses are once an hour and start at 7am and finish at 11pm and its actually physically impossible to get to the major center of employment using any form of public transport by 8am.
