Earning completely from home on an ad hoc basis

Hi,
Is there any way to bring in extra cash, working entirely from home on an ad hoc basis? I have an illness that can strike without much warning, but most of the time I'm fine, so would love to be earning (and keeping busy) in that time. I can't do anything that involve people ordering things from me, as I could get ill in the time between them placing the order (or me listing the item, holding the party or delivering the catalogue) and me delivering the item.
Bascially, anything where I can log in or whatever and work when I can, preferably with no start up fees, would be great

Any suggestions?

I enjoy affiliate marketing, it's not a big money spinner but a nice hobby. I use webs.com (I am sure there many others alike) so you don't need to 'techie' experience. I know nothing about web design and found it easy to navigate. There are a number of affilliate providers such as Tradedoubler who offer a range of banners from a number of genres. You could get a site ready in one afternoon, you can use a number of funky apps and widgets, widgetbox is a good place to look. It can be enjoyable and addictive, when I first started I was up until all hours playing on the site. It's worth a look.
