Alternative to Clinique cream cleanser

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced rich cream cleanser for dry skin? I love the Clinique comforting cream cleanser but its now £15 and getting quite expensive for cleanser. My friend bought me a tube for Xmas but when thats run out I don't know what to use. I have been using wipes aswell but they are starting to dry my skin out a bit, even though they are mega convenient.

Also any recommendations on a good eye make up remover. Again I use wipes but it doesn't seem to be removing all of my eye make up and I still have panda eyes in a morning.

How much cleanser do you use and how do you apply it.

I tend to use a damp flannel to apply my cleanser with and then rinse off with the flannel and water.

For make up remover, I did like the No7 one, but I am now using up some Boots Expert stuff that I bought from the clearance section, the labels were starting to lift, so was ultra cheap :D It is slightly oily, but it does shift my eyeliner and mascara very easily. When this runs out, I will compare the prices and possibly the No7 one will be cheaper with a £5 voucher.
On the buying no more toiletries thread, there is a remover that is very well recommended, but I can't remember which one, sorry.

i love the clinique cream cleanser too - however i have tried few other cream cleansers (as a back up when i can't get my clinique one) like, lancome, garnier, no7, and few others, i would buy either the soap&glory one (in a pink bottle, i think it's called clean mary

or i would buy the Avene cream cleanser (which is water based).

i loved how it soaked and washed away the makeup (i use a warm wet flannel to wipe away they makeup then use 3-step, didn't leave any residue or my skin prone to breakouts and didn't leave my skin tight.

    hth.

I'm trying Morrisons cleanser for sensitive skin at the moment and it seems to be quite good. Only a £1 or so a bottle.

For removing eye make up I would definitely recommend Boots Essentials Fragrance Free eye make up remover lotion. It costs £1.42 for 150ml. I bought it a couple of weeks ago after seeing it recommended somewhere (probably on here!). It is really good and removes all of my eye make up, mascara, eyeliner etc. (although I don't wear waterproof mascara so can't say how good it is at removing waterproof). But when I use it, it takes of all of my mascara and there is not a trace left!!

I used to use a Lancome eye make up remover, which before trying this Boots one was the best I'd used. But even with the Lancome one there was always still some stubborn mascara that I couldn't get off and would still be there the next morning.

    Hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for your replies. I only use a small amount at a time and usually rinse it off.

I have extremely dry skin and can recommend Lush Ultra Bland Cleanser and also Avon Anew Ultimate Cleanser. Avon is probably best value as it is on special quite often and the moisturisers and eye cream are also really good. I am in my forties but am using the range for 50+ skin as I find it more moisturising.
I use both these cleansers for removing my eye make-up but have also used Boots Essentials Eye Make up remover and also use the toner.

I love Clarins products but am quite happy with Superdrug cream cleanser for sensitive skin - white bottle with blue/ green top and says paraben free. Think it's about £2-3.

I love Liz Earle but certainly don't use the amount you are supposed to so overall it works out cheaper than you think.

I used to use the Clinique one; but recently i have started using a Clearasil Sensitive Cream wash.

I don't have spots (now or before) but it leaves my skin really soft and clean and smooth. I only use it in the Morning tho normally - i remove my make up in the evening with Almond Oil and a damp flannel.

    I have pretty dry skin.
