If you want to sell something online, try to remember that for most products people like to touch and feel them before they buy, if you could find something people have seen and tried in shops but that you could sell at a much better price you could be on to something, I think it will be hard to buy in bulk though at good prices from say India or China if you have no contacts or networks in place. Maybe try to find a partner! Also check out the TV show: around the world in 80 trades, could be inspiring!
Good luck! 2014: £20 voucher from SurveyFriends, £10 cash payout from Panel Opinion too and working towards more from Valued Opinions currently.
2013: £35 and £50 vouchers from SurveyFriends! More than £15 made from other paid surveys sites (Yougov, Panel Opinion, Valued Opinions, Pinecone, etc.) Happy so far!0 -

Actually it's not in any way against freecycle rules, Bristol freecycle recently sent out an email reminding people that if you're giving something away and someone is willing to go to the bother of ebaying something, that's their decision and the payout could be considered payment for their time as much as your unwanted item. As long as you're upfront about it, no reason to get annoyed.Tetisheri1975 wrote: »Though not strictly against freecycle rules
Also, freecycle's principles have absolutely nothing to do with carbon footprints, it's about good stuff not going to waste, as they put it "environmental sustainability and reuse". Why you decided to go on about the carbon footprint of posting an item is beyond me - as much as I believe in man made global warming, I also find it embarrassing when people try to tie everything back to "carbon footprint" regardless of whether or not it's true. The point of freecycle is for people to reuse and recycle goods, without the environmental impact of posting etc. and to swap goods for free; it goes against the ethos of freecycle for people to sell the goods on purely for profit and increasing/creating a carbon footprint by posting it out across the country.
Environmental impact of posting something? Give me a break.0
