It made me a bit sad to see that basket. My old Dad who is 91 on saturday and has Alzheimers used to make baskets like that for my Mum when we were young. He learnt to make them from his Dad years ago in Italy ( where he is from) He even still has the scythe he used to cut the willow with that he brought from Italy when he came here as a Prisoner of War on the Queen Mary.
Anyway if we still had any of his baskets they would be worth a lot more than £399.00 to us.
