Has anyone bought spectacle frames on line?

The prices of designer frames on line are amazingly cheaper than in opticians shops - however with my prescription I feel fearful of buying the lens on line. Also the lens with all the addition do not appear a lot cheaper.

Does anyone know if you can buy just the frames and buy the lens from Opticians shop?

Has anyone done this successfully?

  • I bought mine from 2 for 1 glasses and no problem with my prescription, they have a tel no link for any queries and I found them very helpful, there a few suppliers also on quidco.
  • Thanks Bobs - i will try that site though I really only want to buy frames and dont really know how an optician would react if I took a pair of empty frames in for lens purchase??
