PMSL - How many potato's

So I did my ASDA order online yesterday and i've had it delivered, however I am almost positive I DID NOT order 3 x 2.5kg's of potato's! But sure as sure can be, I have them and they are in my delivery (and I've been charged for them - won't refund because they insist they were in my basket)!
I think I'll put a bag in the outside shed in a potato sack, the other 2 bags and what I have left over from last week's shop might have to go into some soup as I also have 1.5kg's of the most enormous carrots I've ever seen in my life!!!!!!!!
What on earth can I do with all of these potato's when my meal plan for the week only calls for mash and potato's 3 times this week?

Transfer them from the plastic into paper sack and they'll store for weeks, in a cool dry place

I've got some homepride potato bake sauce(it's out of date though June '10), I might make a few potato bakes and freeze them- think that will be ok?0

do you have freezer room - a mammoth mash and roast-making session comes to mind. Mash freezes really well, as long as when it's defrosted you give it a vigorous stir. Roasties - par-boil and then roast until cooked in the middle but not over-browned. Freeze individually and shove in a bag and re-roast from frozen.
Other potato uses (which can all be frozen as long as the potatoes are cooked) - fish cakes, potato cakes, rosti, pomme dauphois and similar, cheese and potato pie, bombay potatoes, home made jacket wedges etc.0 -
Luckily today i do have the freezer room, I've just taken out the milk/bread for the week and roast for tonight!
I made and froze mash once before and it was horrible! It became watery and a bit grey once reheated! Not sure I'll do the mash but the roast pots I've done before - will give it a go!0 -
Baked potatoes freeze well too, it might be worth baking a dozen and freezing them and they are an easy tea to reheat :-)Aiming to be debt & mortgage free by November 2018!0

I peel, quarter and par boil spare spuds and freeze them on a tray. Once frozen I transfer into bags.
When needed I pop them straight from the freezer and boil them again, this was they can be made into boiled, mashed or roasted in the oven, means i don't have to decide what they are going to end up as before I freeze them

we have potato, ham and cheese soup regularly here. I've never tried to freeze it, but I would think it would be okay. Now I'll have to try to put some in the freezer to see, as I'm curious.
