Natwest Mortgage Application

Hi there
Does anyone know if Natwest mortgage application forms have a question about criminal records on them?
My son is about to apply for a mortgage with them but he was a bit of a lad in his younger days!!
Thanks
pam

Im in the process of buying a house and my mortgage is with NatwestI was convicted of drink driving a year ago which gives you a criminal record :(.

Anyway more to the point this didnt have any impact on my application as they only ask about defaults and CCJ's so he should be fine

Some lenders ask about any criminal convictions that are not motoring offences. They may ask about it.

It's not anything to worry about if the conviction was nothing to do with drugs, money laundering or theft, etc. Anything which might involve financial transactions and money laundering exposure would be a problem for a lender. Something like drunk & disorderly wouldn't be an issue. So, it will depend on what the convictions were for.
