manufacturer guarantee, valid or not

Options
Hi,

Purchased some kitchen utensils (at auction, customer returns)that come with a 10 year guarantee (it says so on the box).
If i sell them on ebay or amazon, is that guarantee still valid.
I cannot/will not/do not sell them as brand new, but it would be nice to say that they come with the manufacturers guarantee.
AS an aside, i sold some similar items that came with a leaflet that was the guarantee. None of these current items have any paper work with them so would that mean they dont have a guarantee or is it implied???

I think you need to find out if the guarantee/warranty is transferrable or not.

Alternatively, you need to work out if the seller (the shop) would ever know that the new owner wasn't the original owner. If they wouldn't know, then the guarantee would be valid, wouldn't it!

I would have thought to claim on the guarantee that you would have to have the original buyers receipt.
Your goods, although not used, would be classed as second hand and you could not produce the original receipt from where the items were bought therefore the guarantee would be invalid unless the original seller offered it in good will.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
