Hiya,

Work in Superdrug and we got posters today about a free make up set with Barry M.

Next Saturday buy the Sun Newspaper and in the Buzz magazine there should be a voucher, take the voucher to Superdrug and get a Barry M gift set.

On the poster is a pink nail polish, a black Kohl eyeliner and a pink lipgloss, I think it comes with a little make up bag too...

Will update throughout the week if i get any more details, and also how much stock we get in (this is important if you know about previous Superdrug deals!!)

UPDATE: Memo fro head office today, saying that there will be 200,000 units sent out to stores. There are roughly 900 stores, so by my reckoning thats over 200 per store (though clearly one would assume busy stores will get more than smaller stores!).

Equally this offer can be redeemed any time between Saturday 12th and the following Friday...

By the sounds of that, as long as you get to Superdrug on the Saturday you will definitely get a set.

UPDATE 2

The sets arrived in store today, 1 full sized Barry M nail polish, 1 eyeliner and 1 full size lip gloss. For 60p you are not going to complain, however there is no bag to go with it- it just comes in a plastic bag.

Also, I would definitely advise getting to the stores on Saturday- some stores have as few as 50 bags, others have 400. They have done it based on how many Barry M bags were given away last year, which is stupid because last year you had to collect 5 tokens over 5 weeks with the News of the World, this year it is just the one and hence redemption will be much higher- my store for example is being given 100 bags, last year we sold over 60 bags.

Thanks for this info - I'm especially keen to know about the stocks, as previous Sun promotions at my local store simply involved people picking up what was on the shelf. ie they didnt have any extra stock in, so a lot of people were disappointed!

I wonder if this will be like a couple of weeks ago with the Daily Mirror ........ 5 of each item and then it's gone by 9.10am in the morning! :rotfl:

Thanks for posting, I will seriously consider trying for this as Telegraph are giving away £5 bodyshop vouchers Saturday so I could call into both shops.
  • thanks op - although last time I missed out - not sure if it will be worth camping outside superdrug

Hopefully not, those were just a giveaway of normal Superdrug stuff, and they didn't get extra stocks in , but this seems to be a specially produced set, so you'd hope they would have a good number of them available at each shop. Although with any of these things it's probably better to go early if you can.:)
