Advanced ECDL - Excel???

Sorry if I've posted this to the wrong thread - it's not really about Money Saving - I'd just like to find out if anyone has completed the Advanced ECDL course in Excel? and if you have what was the exam like? I'm not too bad with most things in Excel, but I struggle with the "functions" I know that this will make up most of the exam...
I'm currently undertaking this course at work - they are paying for it, and there is no problem with re-sitting the exam if I do fail (but like most people I'd like to pass first time round!). Your thoughts please?:o

I didn't think there was much difference between the advanced version and normal ECDL. If you passed the standard ECDL you should be okay with the advanced one.
If you struggle with functions get some practice using the Excel help system and practice some general functions.0 -
There is a difference between the two levels and I wouldn't say that "functions . . . will make up most of the exam" However the OP is doing a taught course and the training provider should provide mock tests in preparation.
It is also possible to download sample tests from the ECDL website. Try here - http://www.ecdl.org/programmes/index.jsp?p=2289&n=22930 -
Hi, just saw this while browsing. I'm on this course now and it's the functions that I'm having a bit of a problem with. It is a very tough course, but we'll do it
Only a few more weeks for my exam for Excel
I've sailed through this course until functions came in lol.
Good luck to us both xxx:beer: Thank you to everyone!

I thought there was a huge difference. Between the levels.
The exams that i sat were 't mostly functions. I failed the first time. Hehe.
Have you found the fx button????? That way you need to know the name of the function and the pc does most of the work.
You'll be fine, just use the practice papers.to guide you to what you need tonrevise.
Sorry about the bad typing on me phone.

I don't know how this specific course works, but make sure you know what version of Excel the test will be in. If you're using 2003 at work and they test you on 2007 or 2010 there's a big difference in usability and it could really throw you as none of the buttons are where you're used to them being.0
